Aguilar TLC Compressor

  • 9
  • Positive: VERY transparent bass compressor
  • Negative: erm...It's very need a different compressor for that tonal squish.

Aguilar Tone Hammer

  • 9
  • Positive: The preamp section of an Aguilar amp in a pedal, the EQ is very flexible, perfect for sculpting bass tones
  • Negative: The overdriven gain circuit jumps in level by a mile so this is a one-sound-at-a-time thing, not a preamp with a switchable OD

Belcat DLY-503 Analog Delay

  • 7
  • Positive: Very simple analog delay
  • Negative: No self oscillation, no fully wet option

Belcat DST-501 Distortion

  • 7
  • Positive: Actually sounds great for what it does. Won't shake the earth but a nice little pedal nonetheless
  • Negative: It's a very simple pedal. Now retired as I use a FuzzFactory and a Boss modded OD instead.

Biyang Baby Boom series RV-10 Tri Reverb

JHS Pedals Colour Box (White Case)

  • 9.5
  • Positive: The sound of a NEVE 1073 Pre-amp in a footpedal. BELIEVE the hype, this is a fantastic sounding pre-amp well worth the money.
  • Negative: not cheap

Malekko Ekko 616 Analog Delay

  • 10
  • Positive: Like a better MXR Carbon Copy, heavy and dark analog delay
  • Negative: Mod controls are teeny tiny pots.

MXR M-195 Noise Clamp

  • 7
  • Positive: It's anoise gate with a send return, so the gate is triggered by your playing dynamics with your pedals out of the loop
  • Negative: Lacks the flexibility of the new Boss equivalent.

TC Electronic Flashback Delay and Looper

  • 7
  • Positive: Very flexible, editable patch slot via USB
  • Negative: It does a lot, including looping, but the tones don't overwhelm. A jack of all trades.

  • Negative: Not for the price, no.

  • Positive: Is there a more fun fuzz pedal? This thing should come with a warning
  • Negative: It's not polite. But I bloody love it.

Z. Vex Instant Lo-Fi Junky (Vexter)

  • 9
  • Positive: Utterly bonkers piece of pedal genius from Zvex. What the hell is it for? Half the fun is figuring that out.

  • 10
  • Positive: A wonderfully squelchy filter, great bang for your buck

  • Negative: It's bloody noisy, but it's a big muff
