Copilot FX Cubic (Earlier version called The Cubo)

    Fairfield Circuitry Barbershop (Millennium Edition)

    • Positive: Very transparent, very low gain OD. Very touch responsive. Excellent sound quality, and the Sag control is a big plus for tonal versatility.
    • Negative: Not a lot of gain available. Then again, that's not really the point. Might be a detraction for some people though.

HAO RR-1 Rust Ride - Bass Driver

    • 6
    • Positive: No low end loss. Smooth sounding. Easy operation. Both dry & effect outputs. Both passive & active inputs. Well built.
    • Negative: Only 1 pot for Vol, no variable gain for distortion level. No tone or EQ, only a 3 way toggle for different EQ curves.

JHS Pedals Lime Aid - Bass Compressor/Enhancer (Green Tea= Lime Aid + Blender + Boost)

    • 3

    Morley ABY Selector Combiner

    • 7
    • Positive: Good construction, it switches signal paths.
    • Negative: Battery is a pain to change. It's passive, so you lose some gain when combining both A and B outputs.

Aguilar Tone Hammer (Older version with lip)

            • 6
            • Positive: Nice clean tones. AGS circuit gets nice dirty tones w/pretty wide range. Sweepable mid cntrl. Lots of headroom. Very sturdy construction.
            • Negative: A little too mid focused for my purposes. Independent level controls for reg and AGS circuits would make it much more appealing.

            Boss ODB-3 Bass OverDrive

            • 4
            • Positive: blend control. Small-ish footprint. 2 band EQ is pretty usable.
            • Negative: Pretty harsh sounding.

            • 8
            • Positive: Tunes accurately. Buffered bypass.

Darkglass Electronics Microtubes B3K Bass Overdrive (Older US version.)

            • 7
            • Positive: Nice fizzy sounding grit. Clean blend. Good low to medium-high gain range.
            • Negative: Baked in mid-scoop that doesn't work for everything.

Electro-Harmonix XO Deluxe Bass Big Muff Pi

            • 7
            • Positive: Clean blend. Nasty muffy fuzz tones. Crossover circuit gives some really unique tonal options.
            • Negative: Can sound a bit scooped at certain settings, sometimes too harsh, hard to mellow out.

Empress Effects ParaEq w/ Boost (Version 2, with Boost Switch)

              FEA Labs DB-CL Dual-Band Optical Compressor/Limiter (2009 version.)

              • 9
              • Positive: This is an excellent pedal, great control, 1st rate quality.

IdiotBox Blower Box - Bass Distortion (Original "Glowing Eyes" enclosure.)

                JHS Pedals Colour Box

                • 4
                • Positive: Lundhal x-former, can get some cool OD sounds, has a nice overall sound for cleans too.
                • Negative: Noisy! Sounds like your playing next to the ocean, even at the lowest gain settings. S/N ratio was terrible on the unit I had, unusably so.

                Officially Licensed Circuits Runoffgroove Flipster

                • 8.5
                • Positive: Pretty quiet, sounds great. Nice somewhat coarse grit with good low to medium gain range. Usable EQ, and fairly transparent when set flat.
                • Negative: Gain control also kills output pre-master, so it can't be used as a clean boost, but that's not really what it's for anyway.
